I also snagged an RS3000 with green button from eBay. Popped it open and see RS3000 printed on the guts inside the plastic housing. It was located in the dash near the steering wheel. To lock the doors, make sure theyre all closed, then touch the two grooves on top of the front door handle. I have the same RS2000 in my 99 R5 as you.
